With modern technologies constantly improving and evolving, you are now able to bring the movie theater to your living room. You are able to enjoy your movies in life-like detail and in true cinematic fashion, but only if you purchase a television that has been outfitted with the appropriate features and technologies. If you desire a television that will put you in the front row of your favorite movie all over again, than you need to consider purchasing the Toshiba TheaterWide 52″ DLP HDTV, Model: 52HM84. This television has been engineered to provide you and your family with the same type of entertainment level the movie theaters can bring you, except for the outrageously priced popcorn and soda.

While many televisions claim to provide users with a true cinematic experience, this claim is loosely used among television manufacturers. If you are serious about your entertainment, than you need to have a television that can provide you with all of the necessary features to enhance the images on the screen. After watching this Toshiba TheaterWide television in action, you will understand what it means to have a true theater-like television. The TheaterFine DFP Screen will provide you with the necessary features to bring you as close to the movie theater as possible. This feature will provide you with stunning details and rich colors. With an advanced contrast ratio, shadows will add a three-dimensional value to all of the images on the screen.

With the Radiance DC Lamp, you will experience brighter colors, not necessarily brighter screens. Remember, just because a television says it has enhanced brightness levels doesn’t mean that the TV will provide you with a better image. This television uses its brightness features to create deeper, richer colors that will enhance any image on the screen. The pixel resolution is 1280 x 720, which allows you to watch your favorite movie with smooth edges and virtually no motion blur. This is very important if you watch sports or play fast-action video games. With Virtual Surround Sound, you will be placed within the action on the screen not only visually but audio wise. There are two 20-Watt speakers, both of which access different audio levels, providing you with a pure landscape of sound. With a 1 year manufacturers warranty, Toshiba ensures that if anything should go wrong with this television you will be able to have a part replaced quickly and easily. Since this television weighs only 85 pounds, you will be able to transfer its location easily, and normally with only two people.

Twilight Eclipse new promotional photos give us a look into the steamy hot scenes of this new movie. Eclipse will be at a theater near you on June 30, 2010. It may be a while to wait for you die hard fans, but these pictures should tie you over. See the pictures here: Eclipse Steamy Pictures.

Seattle has got a string of mysterious killings and a vampire continues her quest for revenge. Bella, surrounded by danger has to choose between her friendship with Jacob and her love for Edward. Bella knows that her decision may ignite the war that has been timeless between vampire and werewolf and with her graduation near, she needs to make a decision which could mean life or death.

These films have an audience of all ages. Teenage girls find the Twilight series gives them the new heart throb of the times. Many of their Mom’s are just as infatuated with the movie and the sexy hero’s and heroines.

The movies, this is the third in the series, have been received like no one originally expected. The movie was a different twist on traditional vampire movies. In all the vampire movies up until this point, the vampires are the villains.

The long awaited third movie of the Twilight saga will be received the way its predecessors have. Lines around the corner for tickets, with people sleeping out on the sidewalks to be first in line for tickets.

The movie saga has spawned some strange behavior among young teenagers who want to be just like their idols in the movie. Fortunately, the majority of the teens seeing this movie take it for what it is - fictional. Although the love story aspect of the films can be real and it is something that every young girl dreams about. (Some of their mothers too, they also stand in line to catch the first glimpse of the movies as they come open.)

Twilight is a love story, a story about right and wrong, good and evil. It is a story that appeals to the basic emotions in young and old alike. The new pictures that have just been released, show the well loved stars in some hot and steamy embraces. The new movie promises to be just as good, if not better than the others.

At one time, the “MySpace pic” was the premiere brand of photo usage on social networks. The MySpace pic was pretty straight-forward and super-effective, particularly for fatties. The secret was shooting from above and making a kissy/ducky face.

While MySpace has fallen from grace, the legacy of the MySpace pic lives on through Facebook. This infographic provides a guide to understanding the meaning of Facebook profile pictures and their angular meanings.

The result is a very recognizable image of New York City, for instance, with dark clusters at the locations one would expect: Central Park, Times Square, The Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge. Fischer then added a variable to enhance the maps: he instructed his program to connect instances if the same person shot a picture within ten minutes or one mile of their last picture. The resulting lines are color coded and represent different distances covered over time, or the speed the shooter traveled and the possible mode of travel.

Given these arbitrary restrictions on the data, the majority of lines on the map represent pedestrians walking between shots, though there are a number of other lines suggesting faster travel, such as bicycles, transit, or public and private cars. In cities abutting water, the movement of people on ferries paint elegant arches from one waterfront destination to another.

It should be expected that a city’s iconic locations would command the lion’s share of the shutter bugs’ attention, but the maps also show fascinating pockets that wouldn’t likely appear in guidebooks or tourist brochures. Fischer was intrigued by this phenomenon, so he set out to try and distinguish photos taken by tourists versus photos taken by locals.

For example, he assumed a photo of Alcatraz in San Francisco was taken by a tourist if the same geotag ID of the shooter appeared regularly in another location over a significant period of time, signifying primary place of residence.

The resulting Locals and Tourists map images are fascinating and depict each city in ways locals would probably assume, with tourist spots in bright red (the color Fischer denoted for those pictures) and local hidewaways in deep blue. Still, there are some very interesting exceptions.

Take San Francisco, for instance, where the Golden Gate Bridge, the Palace of Fine Arts, Fisherman’s Wharf, Twin Peaks and the Botanical Garden are all thick with red, as would be expected. To my surprise, Haight Street is also a bright red strip, a street in the city I wouldn’t go out of my way to photograph.

Fischer said he was surprised there weren’t more tourist photos taken in the Mission, which he thought was a significant destination for visitors. “It’s much more local heavy than I would have expected,” he said.

“I was surprised how overwhelmingly touristy Venice and Las Vegas were,” added Fischer. “I expected that at least some local population. You’d think there would be at least people interested in the new construction projects [in Las Vegas], from the life blogging aspect,” he said.

HP Pavilion next to Logitech Z-4 Subwoofer by Jahmaal

Panasonic Viera TX-L32GW20

In this review I take a look at the HP Pavilion TX1410US 12.1″ tablet. I’m going to introduce you to the device. Then I’m going to let you know how well it performs and ultimately who will get the most out of their purchase. Let me state with the basics.

Hardware:

Display: 12.1″ LCD Tablet

Imaging: integrated Webcam

Processor: A 64 bit 2.2 GHz AMD Turion TL-64 dual core

RAM: 2GB (expandable up to 4GB)

Optical Drive: CD R/RW with integrated Dual layer DVD +/- R RW

Graphics Accelerator: GeForce Go 6150 graphics (which uses shared system memory)

Dimensions: 8.82″ x 12.05″ x 1.52″

Weight: 4.9 lbs

This is a ridiculously mobile tablet. It is one of the smallest full sized tablets I’ve had the opportunity to use. It is also very light at less than 5lbs. I was surprised at the detail and screen clarity for a tablet. The graphics card which uses shared system memory leaves a lot to be desired. Don’t expect to do too much gaming on this notebook.

The processor is a little weak in my opinion, so multitasking brings a little bit of lag but it isn’t too ridiculous. The 2GB of ram is adequate for standard usage, and due to other limitations found in this little tablet shouldn’t need to be upgraded.

One thing esthetically I don’t like is the wave design that is all over this tablet. I’m just not a fan of any sort of integrated design on my professional oriented notebooks. But that is a personal opinion, just be sure you see one of these in person before you pull the trigger and buy one. HP seems to be big on this whole “unique” laptop look now a days.

Connectivity:

Integrated Blue Tooth

Integrated WiFi

3 2.0 USB inputs (use these to connect to your printer, or MP3 player)

1 VGA output (for connecting to a standard PC monitor)

1 S-Video output (use mostly to connect to projectors and some televisions)

1 ExpressCard

1 audio out / 1 mic in (self explanatory)

2 IR readers (these are for remote controls)

5 in 1 Card reader (for the memory in your digital camera)

1 Modem jack

This little tablet has great connectivity. I like everything I see and can’t really find anything to recommend. I think ultimately this little notebook would be an excellent option for a student or a professional on the go. It has all the power of a standard notebook with the ability to turn into a tablet. In fact at the price even I would even recommend it to the standard notebook user just because of its excellent portability.

Digital Cameras: a Whole New Digital World

With the technological advancement, several new inventions have taken place. These inventions are made to make life simpler. Human civilisation adapted the technology and moved forward to enhance knowledge. With constant research and development, companies are introducing user-friendly gadgets that are successful in meeting varied needs of people. Every alternate day, you can find development of high-end appliances, mobile phones, laptops, internet networks and many more to make your dreams come true. There are lots many that are to be unveiled in the coming years. Mobile phones brought sea change in the telephony world and laptops have made office work easier. Similarly the digital camera revolution has also brought several benefits to the photography industry.

It has provided new meaning to the relationship as the digital cameras help you to capture impressive moments of life. They allow you to capture exquisite photos at a much cheaper cost than the same taken from film cameras. The major advantage is that it allows sending and sharing saved photos to friends and families. If you speak of traditional film device, it required several rolls and film frames to take pictures. The qualities of photos were also not up to the mark and were useless. No editing was possible and it was just wastage of money, but with the introduction of digital instruments, the photography industry has benefited a lot. Several companies like KODAK, Canon, Sony, Olympus etc have understood the market needs and are constantly designing high-end instruments. These devices offer you mind-blowing picture quality as they are loaded with sometimes 10 mega pixel camera or more. They work like computer accessory and have varied settings and resolution. They enable you to download images and videos into your PCs from where you can take a print out of the said images.

With the coming of modern cameras, developing roll is history now. Soon you capture images, you can do modifications as they are equipped with editing tools. It can be an excellent gift for the near and dear ones as they allow you to save memories. The digital photographs can make you feel excited and make the occasion memorable. The best thing is that you can take both video and still images by recording them digitally. They even ensure recording of sound and moving videos. Compare digital cameras which are accompanied with marvellous features. The immediate display of image on the screen, the very moment it is recorded is marvellous. They also record video along with the sound. They also have edit and delete option which ensures re-using of the storage space that was earlier occupied

Online shopping portals have on display several pink digital cameras. These are available in three kinds; the first is the Camcorders. It is generally used by the professional photographers. They come with micro phone which enables to record sound. To look at the video throughout taping or playback, it is loaded with liquid crystal display. There are Professional video devices also which are basically used by television and movie production industry. They are equipped with multiple image sensors which are primarily for image resolution and colours setting. Another exclusive device is the Webcam which mostly comes with the computers and laptops. They help in video conferencing and video chatting. They ensure full motion video and mostly come with microphones and zooming function.

They are for occasional use. The different models like Canon Digital IXUS 850 IS, Panasonic Lumix FX30 and Fuji film Fine Pix F40fd are appealing digital camera to go for. SLR camera (Single Lens Reflex) are not basically for capturing images but are tools that helps in assisting what is present in the meantime. It has an automatic moving mirror system that allows the photographer to view the exact thing that has to be captured by the digital imaging system. It comes with great features such as manually controlled lens, large lens radius, multiple images at a click of a button and advanced stability system. Before buying just see the Shutter speed, types of images that can be saved and lastly the ability to do auto and manual focus. You can avail heavy discount on digital cameras.

In politically correct language I am called a non-traditional student or,as my mother would say, a late-bloomer. For twenty years I was a stay-at-home/home-schooling mom but surprise.. kids grow up. When my son asked me what I was going to do after he left home I told him I was sure it would involve crates of Kleenex, junk food, and a lot of self pity. He suggested college instead and I took him up on it. I graduated in Dec. 09 with a BA in Criminal Justice/Corrections from Park University in Parkville, Mo. Through internships that brought me into contact with both the victims and offenders of violent crime, I have acquired a passion to assist each in addressing issues of accountability and healing through the restorative process of victim-offender mediation.
As a 2010-2011 Canada-U.S. Student Fulbright recipient I will travel this fall with my husband and granddaughter, to British Columbia where I will be attending Simon Fraser University’s Graduate School of Criminology. The website viewmorepix(dot)com is currently being spammed out on services such as Twitter, and I thought it was worth poking with a stick.

Yes, this website claims it will let you view all sorts of hidden content – pictures on Facebook, protected Tweets and private profiles on Myspace to name but a few.

Who wants to bet on it working? Oh right, nobody. Well let’s get this train wreck moving with the hilariously poor Disclaimer:

Get this – you build a website specifically designed to convince people you can view hidden and private content. You claim to have all sorts of funky tools that can bypass the services mentioned. You post lots of Youtube videos that no longer exist due to terms of use violation. Then you say “You agree not to use this site for purposes such as gaining access to profiles which you do not own, respect the privacy of others and access only the profiles and images you have rights to”.

I don’t know about you, but that kind of makes the concept of “View More Pix” somewhat redundant.

Every example of profile / content grabbing is amazingly poorly done. This is what happens when you try to look at protected content on Twitter:

“Show tweets”? This is going to be a gigantic flop, isn’t it?

Ah well. You do get to see those awesome protected tweets after filling in one of the surveys though.

The only slight drawback is that they’re written in invisible ink.

Next up, their dire “method” for viewing private Myspace profiles. The amount of Facebook “Likes” the below page has had is rather depressing, so try to focus on the various steps they give you instead:

What comes next is genius, sort of:

You get a small box with a Google Cache link to the profile in question, in the vague hope they might have had their profile public beforehand.

The Facebook one just shows you a picture of the Facebook logo.

They do suggest being logged in when you try this, but it doesn’t seem to make any difference. There’s a surprise.

All in all, I can’t say you’re going to get very far indulging furtive needs on this particular website. Maybe you should just send a follow request or ask if you can look at their pictures instead…

Street style is allegedly inspired by the runways, but this time around at New York Fashion Week, we’re thinking that theory might have been switched. There were just too many amazing outfits out there to choose from, and we can’t imagine we were the only ones totally inspired on the fashion front. From a long skirt worn to perfection to a double-take of the week’s coolest leopard tote, our second batch of NYFW street style could serve as a fresh manual for fall dressing. But don’t take our word for it…tell us which lovely lady here you’d like to copy most.

Yes, I’ve been gone for a while. I’m busy with my Exchange work and studies and with everything else around me I hardly get to even look at my home lab. But as they say, good things happen to those who wait and we’re upgrading our company PIX to ASA so I have some real use for my Cisco knowledge.

When coming to perform this task there are few things to remember, I’ll review the most important points (at least as I see it).

First there is the technical detail – End-of Sale and End-of-Life for PIX is past due. The important meaning is that Cisco will not support PIX (so go ahead and either upgrade to ASA or find another solution), if you have issues with existing PIX you’re not going to get Cisco’s help and if (god help you) your hardware will die, you’re doomed…

You can always migrate manually (and there are some benefits here, I’ll get to it in a sec) or take the shortcut and use the configuration migration tool. If you’re not sure which option fits your knowledge and experience I bet the migration tool is your option, for the rest of you – read further to get the main points of each option.

So now that you’ve decided on performing the upgrade using the migration tool, check your PIX software version. If your PIX is running 7.X or higher you are in a good place as the configuration migration tool mostly match up your old PIX interfaces with the new interfaces of the ASA. If the number of interfaces on ASA is lower than the number of existing PIX interfaces you’ll have to use dot1q (if you want to use the migration tool).

The other less pretty case is when your PIX is running an older than 7.X version as you have to convert the PIX conduit and outbound commands. The rest of the process is similar, use the migration tool and you should be okay.

You might ask yourself why would you go the hard way and build your configuration manually? Like many times in life, sometimes it’s just better starting from scratch. When you build the configuration you have in mind the existing network environment with current and future needs. When migrating from existing configuration you tend to live the past, keeping old configurations (mostly access rules and objects) because they exist – not always because they are being used.

If you have the knowledge and time building new configuration is, in my opinion, the better option. You get a more accurate configuration that suit your needs and clean old unused objects. And there is one more pro, whether you’re the new guy in the company (as in my case) or a few year veteran that knows the network inside out – planning and building the new configuration let you get familiar with all the needs and review the method you’re using. Veteran’s tend to get stuck with their old doctrines and rebuilding can prevent it, make them rethink their work.
