ALLAH: Advice inasmuch as Sha’ban
Question: Should he unrestrained on the fifteenth of Sha’baan unvarying if the hadeeth is da’eef?Answer: Is it authorized, unvarying after verdict inaccurate that a hadeeth is da’eef (weak), to change castle behind it, beside manner of doing correct deeds? The hadeeth says: “When it is halfway entirely Sha’baan, dish out that evensong in divine help and unrestrained on that prime.” The unrestrained is observed as a discretionary limit of devoutness to Allaah, as is spending that evensong in divine help (qiyaam al-layl). Praise be to Allaah. remarkably Firstly: What is narrated as regards the righteousness of praying, fasting and worshipping on the fifteenth of Sha’baan (al-nusf min Sha’baan) does not obtain under the control of the heading of da’eef (weak), less it comes under the control of the heading of mawdoo’ (fabricated) and baatil (false). So it is not authorized to change castle behind it or to limit upon it, whether that is in doing correct deeds or in another manner.
A mass of scholars ruled that the reports as regards that were manufactured, such as Ibn al-Jawzi in his ticket al-Mawdoo’aat, 2/440-445; Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah in al-Manaar al-Muneef, no. 582. 174- 177; Abu Shaamah al-Shaafa’i in al-Baa’ith ‘ala Inkaar al-Bida’ wa’l-Hawaadith, 124-137; al-’Iraaqi in Takhreej Ihyaa’ ‘Uloom il-Deen, no. Shaykh al-Islam narrated that there was consensus on the factually that they are manufactured, in Majmoo’ al-Fataawa, 28/138. Shaykh Ibn Baaz (may Allaah be struck by compassion on him) said in Hukm al-Ihtifaal bi Laylat al-Nusf min Sha’baan (Ruling on celebrating the fifteenth of Sha’baan): Celebrating the evensong of the fifteenth of Sha’baan (Laylat al-Nusf min Sha’baan) beside praying etc, or singling inaccurate this prime respecting fasting, is a reprehensible bid’ah (innovation) according to the control of scholars, and there is no base respecting this in sharee’ah. And he (may Allaah be struck by compassion on him) said: remarkably There is no saheeh hadeeth as regards the evensong of the fifteenth of Sha’baan (Laylat al-Nusf min Sha’baan). There is nothing aberrational connected with this evensong, and no performance of Qur’aan or divine help, whether unescorted or in congregation, is specified respecting this evensong.
All the ahaadeeth that be struck by been narrated as regards that are mawdoo’ (fabricated) and da’eef (weak), and be struck by no base. Secondly: Even if we feeling that the hadeeth is da’eef (weak) and not mawdoo’ (fabricated), the apt longhair approach is that almost inaudible ahaadeeth should not be followed at all, unvarying if they figuratively of correct deeds or of targheeb and tarheeb (promises and warnings).
Nothing is known in Islam to imply that this evensong or prime is aberrational, either from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) or from his companions. The saheeh reports are enough and the Muslim has no insufficiency to change castle behind the da’eef reports. The lass of letters Ahmad Shaakir said: There is no character between rulings or correct deeds; we do not receive any of them from da’eef reports, less no unified hast he correctly to acquisition any write-up as clue unless it is proven to be soundly narrated from the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) in a saheeh or hasan hadeeth.
